Model RBF Thermal Packer

Model RBF is a mechanical-set, pull-to-release thermal packer used in steam injections and other high temperature environments, it is integrated with an expansion joint that allows for the tubing movement due to thermal expansion, with a trip distance up to 6.5m (21.3ft). The packer uses a set of high-performance elements that could withstand 20Mpa (2900ppsi) of pressure differential under temperatures up to 300oC (572oF).The RBF packer is set by a right-hand rotation and could be released by straight pull, it adopts a V-ring design in its inner seals, which provides higher reliability than common O-rings. An optional knock-down joint could be used to enable hammering to loosen the packer when it gets stuck. A scraping ring design could remove debris built up on the mandrel and prevent damage to the inner sealings.
